LSU-FL breaks viewing records with interesting AL stat

LSU-FL was the most watched college game in 2 years with 6.45M viewers, but there was an interesting side stat.
It's not surprising that New Orleans was the largest local market but check out the second largest:
1) 30.6 New Orleans
2) 27.6 Birmingham
3) 17.4 Jacksonville
4) 12.5 Knoxville
etc
They watching. We coming!

I’m shocked that they took a timeout from banging their little sisters to watch a game that didn’t have bama in it
Kudos to you Birmingham

Saban's thousands of analysts scouting LSU helped contribute to that number.

Half of that is Saban's shadow staff.

Gotta love the cross state record so far...
LSU has taken down both Texas and Florida
Saints have taken down BOTH nfl teams in Texas, and now probably the best one in Florida.
Louisiana is dominating the region.

My in-laws were in Destin with their good friends who are bama fans. The gentleman of the couple pushed them to order quickly so they could get back to the condo to see some of the game.
They got back with about 5 min. left in the third, just as we were imposing our will on the vaunted UF defense. He got an eyeful for sure.
I found it telling that he showed such interest.

The REC was also watching to see if this officiating crew would be favorable for the LSU vs Alabama game

You mean to tell me that the market with the most viewers in CFB for 2 decades straight watched a game between 2 undefeated SEC teams? I'll be goddamned.
