MANDEVILLE 41, PONCHATOULA 40: In Ponchatoula, Caden Costa kicked a 19-yard field goal with three seconds remaining to give the Skippers (5-1, 3-0) the victory in a District 6-5A game played Saturday.

LSU commitment TJ Finley passed for 469 yards and four TDs to pace Ponchatoula (3-3, 2-1). Jacoby Mathews caught four passes for 152 yards and three TDs for the Green Wave.

I was there. Not sure why Finley gets so much grief from the RB. Mandeville doesn’t have elite talent on defense but they played tough. Finley was PLENTY accurate, and nothing I saw concerned me about his accuracy or pocket presence.

Skippers were without Zahn Diaz and his backup. QB DeVon Tott played the second half on one leg after hurting his ankle in the first. He really gutted it out. And Will Shepherd was a beast today.

Finley is a very raw but talented QB. Once he’s around our wideouts and coaches he has potential to be the starter after a year or two. Just too hard to put him down with the cards he’s been dealt in HS

He gets grief for proudly posting his stat line on twitter after his TEAM just lost.

Sorry. Not a fan of anything about the kid. That’s just me though

Sorry, when your team loses and you immediately go to twitter excited about your stat line, you have a problem.

But please feel free to continue and encourage that shite. Bad teammate, but look at that stat line. My team lost, but I threw for 400.

Ok Al B....we know how it was when u scored those 4 TD’s in a HS game. Now back to selling those shoes.
On a related note, you don’t have to worry about watching him, cause he definitely ain’t going to that shithole town of Memphis.

Didn't Finley commit to us before Brady was on staff?

You guys think Burrow would post something like that after a loss? No chance.

Not to mention, Burrow doesn't lose.

I'm with the majority here, there is nothing wrong with the kid posting his accomplishments, that's the world we live in today and don't try to make him out to be a bad person when you don't even know him.
You need to get s life!!!

WOW, talk about reaching for an excuse to not like a kid. That is just making up shite. You are the first post I’ve read about anyone complaining about a kid putting up his stats on Twitter. And that is why you don’t like anything about him? WOW!

The complaints against him have been he’s inaccurate, he’s not smart, he has an attitude problem, he’s too slow, he’s too tall. And now we can add he posts his stats on Twitter. Amazing! We get it! By the way did you make the rally last week?

Basically some of you morons are basing his ability to tweet something out on whether or not Mandeville makes a time expiring FG. So if he would have missed the FG, TJ could post. But since he made it, he can’t. That had nothing to do with his performance.

The reason that I take the time to posts his stats after his games, is to quiet his critics. I won't make that mistake again. I don't want him coming here reading some of this crap. I thought the administators would delete some of these personal attacks on a recruit.

did you ever throw for 400?

The only knock against Finley was that they weren't winning, and now they kind of are.

You're comparing a 6th year grad student to a HS kid. Have you seen Burrow and his bleach blonde hair from HS? I'm guessing he's matured over the last 6 years.
