re: Just Heard of Clip of Mullen - He Compared Playing at LSU and Kentucky

#5 in the country with a heisman frontrunner and one of the most efficient offenses in recent college football history is mediocrity apparently.

This guy is in multiple threads with his Coach Zero nonsense. Can't even enjoy a 5-0 team leading the nation in scoring and scoring more points in the first 5 games than any team in conference history. Pathetic.

Gator fan here. Not here to troll, whatsoever. I have a genuine love for LSU. I played baseball for UF 20 years ago or so and your fans treated my family amazing, and I’ll always respect the fan base for it. I went to the UF/LSU baseball series this past year and spent the entire weekend in the left field beer tent. I got to know some great people out there.

That being said: our team does not play dirty. We are aggressive, and that leads to penalties occasionally, but I’ve never seen a late hit on a QB that would even remotely seem like something Mullen suggested. Our guys play hard and physical, nothing more. That is all.

I do think this game will be closer than the majority of your fan base thinking, but you guys walk out of there with a 10 ish point victory. Burrow will abuse us in the field until the red zone, but I think your field goal kicker will get more work than he’s used to. Good luck!

In 9 years at Miss State, Mullen had one season with a conference record better than .500. In only one season did Mullen lose fewer than 4 games. Other than finishing 2nd in 2014 in the West, Mullen never finished higher than 4th in the SEC West in 9 years.

Just saying....he’s a great offensive coach and QB coach, but he’s not some savant and his record at Miss State wasn’t that great.

These guys comments suck. But I do wonder how many of y'all were dogging the last coach in a similar scenario. We beat UF btw and ended up #2 in the country. He got fired not long after.

Mullen can coach QBs, but for whatever reason his teams have been dirty. Or at least have had a couple that were just blatant with it.
