I think it's too early to tell the types of changes Cordeiro and the higher-ups have made. We won't really know until the musical chairs of shuffling jobs stops and everyone settles into their role for a while.

I think some of the proposed changes/additions are a good step to modernize our federation and bring them more in line with what other top FAs around the world are doing. But I'm not sure we have the right people in those jobs at all, and will remain cynical until proven otherwise. By all accounts, the USSF is understaffed and underfunded, and poorly paid interns do a lot of the work. The USSF website itself is poorly designed, and Latino outreach is still awful on social media, etc.

Our player pool is so terrible right now, 36 year-old Wondo is seriously our most in-form, healthy striker right now. There just aren't many good options at a lot of positions, and there won't be for a while. It took seven years of a lost generation to dig this hole, and it might take as many good years of youth development to dig us out. I like what I'm seeing from our youth in recent years, but it'll be a few more rough years until some of those guys are ready for the senior national team.

My enthusiasm for the national team is at an all-time low right now. I've passed the anger stage and entered the apathy stage. I know many of you feel the same, and it's not gonna change until the USMNT starts performing well on the field, which could take years with how bad the team is right now.

Well the USSF is directly responsible for this. They created a new position for Earnie, only to promote him.

The problem is a manager who insists on a system and playing veterans. A real leader would be fearless, willing to play the kids and stick to basics, also focus like h3ll on set pieces.
