I’m with Al Davis.... Just win baby by 14 points. Oh wait, he didn’t say that. I think Barry Switzer coined that phrase. Switzer was “I’ve been out drinking with the Selmon brothers all night and I’m hung over as frick so go out there and hang half a hundred on them by halftime and get this shite over with”. That was his pep talk to the team before a game in the 80’s. Got a buddy from North Texas that played for OU and we still laugh about that.

Steve Spurrier was a confident, cocky, snarky SOB... a trait of his I hated in the 90s, but came to like in the last 15 years...
on the morning of the 1997 UF game, in an interview on ESPN (a taped remark from him getting of the bus for Friday walk-through at Tiger Stadium), and keep in mind that Michigan was #2 or #3 at the time and GameDay was setting up at the PMAC, likely within sight of the Gators exiting the bus...

Growling and screaming at the TV, I grabbed my ticket and headed to campus (from Covington - which is another good story why I was there and not Baton Rouge)!
