(a) Florida is very over-rated or
or
(b) LSU is very under-rated.

I'll go with (b)

Who would remember this? Why not just say top 10 matchup?

In that case, it probably happens almost every year. Bama was favored over LSU last year by 14. That was #1 vs #3.

That’s a huge line. Didn’t expect it.

LSU has won all but 1 vs the spread and missed that because of a missed extra point!

This feels like a 10 point game to me.

We say this same crap every year for the UF game. We should crush them, they aren't really good. While that may be true, if you have been here for any amount of time you know it just never plays out that way. Except that one time. It will be a tough one, and while I hope it is easy for us I don't expect it to look that way.

Gotta take the points hoping I'm wrong. I thought it would be 3 or 4.
All of the ingredients off the field are in place with the night game, gameday, and a cool front coming in on Friday night.
That's got to be worth a few points I guess.
I don't trust our Oline against hope tier teams yet. Good or bad, the Oline status will be defined this week.

If LSU beats Fla by >14pts, we should jump to #2 or #3

Why does it list the game time as 3:30?

I think the line is certainly appropriate. Florida's offense is severely lacking in explosive ability, and they have a QB who is not a good athlete, and now is injured on top of that. I expect LSU will be very aggressive in coming after Trask, and if LSU tackles like they did yesterday, Florida's offense has almost no chance.

And aside from Trask being immobile, did anybody notice how poor his pocket awareness was yesterday? I love this matchup for our defense. And I'm not sure there is a defense capable of holding LSU under 30. If Florida can't move the ball (which I expect to be the case) then their D will be gassed very quickly.

The rankings are not and SHOULD not be relevant in breaking down this matchup. I feel very Similarly about the Auburn game. Nix is an awful passer, and LSU's secondary is better than what he faced yesterday. I said weeks ago that even with a struggling LSU defense, I didn't think Florida and Auburn had the type of offenses that could keep up with LSU. I mentioned a few days ago that the notion that Auburn had improved because of what they did to Mississippi State was an overreaction, and that I thought that was just a fluky game against a bad team. After watching those two teams play each other yesterday, my feelings on both of them were pretty well confirmed.

And now that LSU figured out how to tackle? I think LSU is about to send Florida home with nightmares.
