I have seen no reasonable, objective basis for impeachment by the House or conviction by the Senate.
But impeachment is a political remedy. If the Dems had the numbers, they would do it anyway ... primarily due to judicial appointments. They can change statutes when control of Congress inevitably flips again, but they are stuck with judges for many, many decades.

I would suspect barely half the people screaming for it actually believe he's done anything to actually warrant it. They just want him gone because he's orange, is a male, and is bad.

I think in the end he will be impeached. He will not be removed from office. It should be possible only in the rarest occasions and with obvious evidence to remove a president. We as a country are not set up to tire or resent a president and thus remove him from a four year term. As much as a louse as Trump can be from time to time the other side should try to beat him in an election.
And in another wildcard, the shoe will drop on the Deep State. I'm pretty convinced of that.

I'm sorry but I think every incoming administration should take a look at the previous administration and prosecute any AND ALL illegal activity.
