Analytics are based in statistical analysis which when used over a large sample size works. But when you're talking about a one game series, or even 5-7 games, you need to use instincts and make smart managerial moves. Numbers don't have enough time to play out in a small sample size.

If it's one game between statistically similar teams, it's basically luck honestly.

This is utter nonsense. If it gives an edge in the regular season, it gives an edge in the postseason too.
