This. Tulane was able to move the ball the whole second half. Im sure everyone watching at the time was saying exactly that. UH defense should have been watching for it

To eliminate the risk of a TO in their own territory and go to overtime.
It's not uncommon for people to do that, especially at home. They were inside their own 30, so a fumble would have automatically put Houston in game winning FG position.
