Even though I don't mind paying 60 for a smaller game, I do make sure to buy physical not digital.
I'll go digital for a Switch game that I'll play for a long time (Mario Kart, Mario Maker 2, even the new Fire Emblem), but with this I'll play it once (maybe twice) and then get 30 dollars of store credit for it at gamestop (unless I just want to keep it). The one benefit to Nintendo's complete pricing inflexibility is they retain trade in value.
I don't have anything against long games in general, but it's gotten to the point that you have to be strategic when choosing which ones to play. There are so many of them. I put 20 hours into Odyssey and liked it enough that I've thought about going back, but it's a legit commitment.

Ouch.
I probably would have quit the game if it wasn't for the game being a Zelda title. That weapon system killed me, until I just gave in and accepted the stupidity.
lol, I kept reading the complaints about that and I guess because it was my first Zelda game, it didn't bother me all that much. I just accepted it. Seems like the biggest issue was for those who were used to something else, which is a very legitimate complaint lol.
now going back to the beginning it feels so luxurious to have the same weapon and only be worried about collecting arrows and bombs.

Did anyone here ever play through the extra dungeon on the GBC version?
Posted on 9/23/19 at 5:49 pm to FourThreeForty
Holy shite, I had no idea this was a thing. This was my favorite game ever.

Hell yeah, you got the new tunics that way.

It's not the bad.
Just think a durability mechanic could have more thought. Just breaking felt lazy.
Edt: But Japs aren't lazy. So it was is stupid.

What is everyone's favorite dungeon?
Replaying on Hero and the game really starts to get fun at the Face Temple.

After playing BotW and then Link's Awakening.. does anyone really miss dungeons?
I loved the shrines. Loved BotW. Shtt I put nearly 200hrs into the game the first 3 weeks. However, it was missing something, think that something are dungeons.

I'm dying so damn much At the face temple now with 50 deaths I think? 8 or so intentional to avoid starting a fight with half a heart.
I think dungeon 7 stuck with me the most, partly because of its gimmick and partly because younger me was stuck on that bastard for way too long trying to figure it out.

Dude, lvl7 on Hero mode is fckking tuff.
This is the first time I've had a challenge. It's almost impossible to not get hit at times.

Don’t want to post spoilers but this game poses some weird-arse moral/philosophical questions you don’t expect from a Zelda game.

Very fun so far but how the frick did Nintendo release a first party title with the framerate dipping under 30fps?

Still working on Link to the Past via SNES Switch.

Yeah, dude this game's ending blew my mind when I was a little kid. I walked away thinking: what in the hell did I just do that for? How am I the hero in any of this? I was, for the first time, incredibly sad to beat a video game.
This is the second "remake" for me, I played through it on a friend's borrowed black and white GB cartridge when I was a <10 years old, and I got the GB Color at launch in Fall '98 and turned 11 around Link's Awakening DX launch and you better bet I made sure my mom had that lined up for Christmas. The game looked fantastic in color.
I am not a fan of remakes but this one does it justice. I beat it this weekend and got 100% everything except the remaining chamber stones for Dampe's dungeon maker. Highly recommended. $60 is a bit steep but it's too good to pass up IMO.

I got it at walmart today for $49, that's priced just right IMO.

Can ya'll kindly suggest in the Nintendo switch world; what are some of the RPG's you suggest in the same style as Zelda?

Its an 8 hour long game.
Fake news. This comment made me apprehensive about buying the game but I’m glad I did.
Game is great and I’ve put about 30 hours in and haven’t finished it yet.
