Purdue's faculty tried to block CFA opening a shop on campus that had been requested by the students and will be owned by a female Purdue grad. University didn't bow to their nutjob demands.
According to the Lafayette Journal & Courier, there is “overwhelming demand” for a permanent Chick-fil-A presence on campus, and the franchise owner will be a female Purdue graduate who “has signed and observed a commitment of equal access and treatment in her employment and service practices.”

And it very likely has little to 0 to do with their political stance on the subject.
That's actually hard to say.
There can be no doubt that the furor.......and, the media routinely covering the furor, raises general public awareness of the Chic Fil A brand.
A HUGE goal of any advertising is to basically just kinda remind customers......."remember us?" Hell, that's pretty much all Coca-Cola does!
Don't ya think Panda Express would love the media doing them the courtesy of mentioning their chain about 500 times per year for free? All to cater to a SUPER TINY fraction of people that it might cause to avoid their store?
If I'm Chic Fil A, part of me wants this coverage to never stop
