present and future of the Alabama empire ?

Saban is maybe best ever in CF... not sure how much longer he can keep things up if he keeps bashing former players for going to NFL, whining about student leaving games, etc. Schools like LSU, Clemson, etc. need to keep them out of the natty for a few more years before the empire begins to crumble. If LSU can stay in headlines, keep showing the swagger of our guys via highlights on ESPN / social media, new facilites, etc... maybe throw in a Heisman finalist (AKA: Joe Haircut) LSU will start chipping into their recruits more and more.
I can see the light for the first time in years. We cannot get shut down by bama again :( otherwise same talk by media all over again. Even 1 loss to bama in a good game will be huge for LSU in next few years... a win would be the 2nd big blow to bama empire.

Just be worried that Clemson doesn’t come calling Ed O when Dabo goes to his Alma Mater. They’ve noticed he already knows how to say Go Tigers.

If LSU loses to Alabama this year, it will be an epic disappointment to Coach O. He's already stated that the Bama game is the focus, rather than the NC. I don't necessarily agree with it, but losing to Bama this year will be detrimental to his ability to lead afterwards.

The luster is beginning to fade and the media will embrace another program (i.e.Clemson) and push bama from the top rung. Oh, they will still live in the narrative until such time as they begin to falter on the field, but they will no longer occupy top billing.

I'm gonna say a 1 loss LSU team (loss to bama) is in the playoff. A 1 loss bama team (loss to LSU) is not in playoff because of their schedule.

Alabama will be King Of The Hill as long as Saban leads that program. It's been rumored Nick will retire in a couple of years. When that happens, Bama will slowly decline-- but only briefly. Think Perkins & Curry, after Bear, and then DuBose and Shula after Gene Stallings. Alabama football always rebounds to championship status.

Alabama was the winningest football program in the South BEFORE Nick Saban got there.
