Currently I’m using a 32” Toshiba tv, but I’m about to get away from the tv, I purchased a Viotek 32” 144hz curved monitor from Amazon this morning. I really haven’t had any issues with my tv, just wanted better refresh rates. Just curious on which one everyone else uses.

Only $1,500. - 5k 34inch ultrawide for the win.

I bought the 1440 version when it came out. I had instant buyers remorse after hitting the purchase button but after using it for a while, I'll never have anything smaller again.

That's incredibly awesome and something I won't be able to afford for awhile

I was joking about the 5k. I hope the 1440 I bought lasts forever.

Use a monitor. That's the way God intended.

I dont do any do FPS or competitive gaming so I'm on my basement's 120" screen with a 1080p projector (low lag on it).

It's a Benq HT2050. I had a high refresh rate monitor but really dont get any benefit with what I play, so I much enjoy the total immersion the large projector brings instead, especially for all the strategy type games.

I'm in need of advice as far as a new monitor goes... looking to upgrade from 24in, 60Hz, 1080p to probably 27in, 144Hz, 1440p.

Specs:
EVGA GeForce RTX 2070
i5-9600K
16GB DDR4 3000Mhz

I am not concerned with anything that needs to handle Virtual Reality as I don't play VR games. I also don't like any of those curved designs.

I have one of the dell 1440p 144hz gsync displays and I love it.

Just a pain in the arse to find matching 1080p ones that are vesa mountable

I enjoyed using my large plasma screen for years. I never noticed any lag issues but at the end of the day, the plasma was too damn dark. Once I got the 3440X1440, I never looked back.

Then you should be able to take full advantage of those improved frame rates. I guess it'll depend on what games you're playing if you'll be able to tell the difference.

While some TVs might work - adequately at best - under certain circumstances, it is going to be better to have a monitor in easily 100 times out of 100.

Once you play on a monitor you'll never be able to play on a TV again.

Not true at all. I used a plasma for years even though I had 2 monitors.

It took the "right" monitor to get me to abandon the plasma.

Even with a much better monitor, sometimes it is fun to play on the giant screen.
