Competitive BRs certainly have a large aspect of luck. Loot, circle placement, shield, etc.
The fact that fortnite has such a large comp scene is crazy to me since that game has bloom.

H1Z1 had it as well. It's kind of necessary to have bloom in a 3rd person shooter. With no recoil and being solely hitscan, it would make gun play way too easy and every gun be an absolute laser
They would have to place some hard distance limits per gun if they were to remove bloom
