I have always enjoyed reading his legal thrillers. Read Presumed Innocent first, then its sequel, The Burden of Proof. They are fantastic. I have not read Testimony yet.

Agreed, really well written. After them I was excited to see a new Turow out, but after reading it I thought it was pretty awful. Had to look it up - Identical. Turow put a lot of work and thought into his first two books. Identical is just mass market garbage he probably wrote in a few weeks. He is capable of being a top writer, though.

Presumed Innocent is one of my favorite books of all time.

Maybe my expectations were too high, but I didn't really like Burden of Proof. Sometimes that just happens with me though--I could like it on a reread.
