Yes including flights, transportation, lodging, tips, and most meals. Basically all inclusive but with a smaller private group.

Bad deal?

Probably not. A couple I know went earlier this year and I think their cost was slightly lower, but it wasn't the same itinerary.

I've done some initial investigations and tours are about $5200-$6500 not including airfare to Africa (Collette). Others were more expensive and more towards the luxury end.

You can probably do it much cheaper on your own. I just checked the Cresta Mowana website, and two people can stay there, with breakfast, for about $600 a night for two. The excursions are probably extra. It's a beautiful setting, right on the river.

You can probably fly from the US to Cape Town for $1,500-1,800 per person.

Renting cars and driving in South Africa isn't difficult at all, or at least it wasn't when I did it 20 years ago.
