11) Flaming Pile of shite: Last Season Record 33-125-2 (13th place)
Best Players: Trae Young, Lauri, Jayson Tatum, Herro, Bam, Zhaire, Simons, Bitadze
Off-Season Additions: Trae, Lauri, herro, Simons, Bitadze
The only players on this roster last season with any potential was Jayson Tatum and Bam Adebayo. Both of these guys struggled last season. For Tatum, he followed too much of Kobe's advice. He settled for too many jumpers and practically never tried to get to the hole. Adebayo was buried on the depth chart behind Whiteside and Olynyk. This season, both Tatum and Adebayo are expected to have bounce back/break out seasons. This franchise could have drafted Zion - perhaps the most coveted fantasy basketball rookie since Lebron James (and maybe Luka Doncic). Some may have disagreed with the decision to trade away Zion, but this franchise did get a pretty good haul in return in Lauri and Trae Young. Trae young finished the season on a tear and showed his high upside potential. If he can improve on the fg%, Trae could be a 3rd round type player as early as this season. Lauri also needs to improve on the efficiency side to reach his potential. I also love the additions in Simons and Bitazde. Simons has break out potential as early as this season as the first guard off the bench for Portland; and Bitazde is a name to watch down the road in Indy. In a very short time with new ownership this franchise has gone from having little to no hope (thanks 21Jumpstreet) to a pretty bright future.

10) Boom:
Last Season Record 96-61-3 (7th place)
Best Players: Conley, Harden, Lowry, Zach Collins
Boom snuck into the playoffs last season - but I think the slide in rankings continues this season. A franchise that prides itself on making the playoffs every season misses the playoffs this season. Harden is a top 5 fantasy asset - and he is arguably the #1 fantasy player in the league. But he can't do it alone. Harden's dominance as the top player in fantasy is in question with the addition of Russell Westbrook. There simply isn't enough talent on this roster to carry Boom to the playoffs. Conley and lowry are typically 3rd round players and I expect them to continue being 3rd/4th round assets. To my knowledge, Boom made no real additions to his roster this off-season. He traded both of his draft picks last season. I like Conley moving to Utah and I think Zach Collins is primed for a break out season in Portland. But aside from those three + Lowry, there isn't a whole lot to love about this roster. I realize Harden will have to be pried from Boom's dead cold hands, but I think moving Harden for young pieces & draft picks is the move needed to return this franchise to playoff relevance.
