The only reason that happened was that the Methodist delegations from Africa voted to stay orthodox. The UMC in the US would have overwhelmingly run with it

Only because of the African contingent. The American Methodist are not doing well
ETA: MTNtiger. I hope your right but I don’t see it . Maybe in the south but the church my wife is a member of i doubt it . This is a wealthy church in a large city and I don’t think the congregation cares . Probably voted with the libs . Just my thoughts

My wife and I left the UMC over the constant SJW, pro open borders, white quilt shaming cuck doctrine the UMC was pushing.

My familly currently attends the UMC.
We got a new pastor a couple of weeks ago and he quoted Bill Clinton in his first sermon.
It’s a bad sign.
