Sun Studio is a pretty cool place to visit if you're music fan, and I don't remember it being too far from the Peabody. Or maybe we took the bus from Beale St. I can't remember. The tour is only an hour. Lots of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, etc. stuff in there.

It's certainly better than Graceland, but I still did enjoy the cheesiness of Graceland. It's not very close to The Peabody though, and is in a sketchy part of town.

Rendezvous is the tourist trap people may direct you to for BBQ. I guess it's a cool place, but the food was just okay. Central BBQ was much better, but I forget if it was in that area. Seems like it was pretty close, but it's been a few years.

It's been a while (thankfully) but Interstate Bar-b-q used to be real "Memphis style"* bar-b-que and not too far off the beaten path.

Sun Studio is cool, but don't walk. I did that a few years ago. It's not terribly long, but it sure as shite is through some sketchy places.

Rendezvous is a place you just have to go to. Some love it and some don't but you have to find out for yourself. You gotta eat downstairs though to get the full effect. It's just not the same upstairs in the party hall.
