I see a lot of pundits saying they are headed to be the next Georgia or Alabama. I decided to dive into their schedule this year and I dont even see 8 wins much less 9 or 10. I was wondering who you see them beating this year? I think they will be around 7-5
vs Texas St- W
@Clemson-L
vs Lamar- W
vs Auburn-L
Arkansas-W
vs Alabama-L
@ Ole Miss-W
vs Miss St-W (Only because state is two different teams when on the road)
vs UTSA- W
vs South Carolina-W
@Georgia-L
@LSU-L

They're a big time QB away from contending just like the rest of the bigger programs. Jimbo had some really soft teams at FSU so unless he toughens those dudes up he's basically going to be Sumlin 2.0.

I agree, unless Bo Nix lights it up in his first season.

They'll beat either Auburn or Georgia...they'll go 8-4 and end their regular season with a 20 point loss in Death Valley. Can't wait for that beat down, the players will be up for that one, especially Joe.

8-4 seems like a good prediction. 9-3 is their ceiling if they get a few bounces though.

Ags haven't sweep both Mississippi schools since Johnny was there so don't see them doing it this year.

I believe they're pegged at 7.5 wins (which seems spot on). I'd take the over, so that almost forces me to think they'll beat Auburn.

Agreed... Aggie loves a melt down though, so it could easily end at 6-6 if they aren't careful against State.

They have a meat grinder for a schedule. If they go 8-4 that's a good season for them.

Honesty, yeah. People who think that they overpaid for Jimbo are retarded. LSU not scooping him up when they could of will haunt us forever

They’ve been the “next big thing” for 80 years now. Bear Bryant couldn’t do shite with them, John Chavis couldn’t succeed there, Kevin Sumlin was supposedly going to bring them to the promised land, Johnny Manziel won a heisman and was one of the best college QB’s I’ve ever seen and never did anything with Mike Evans and Jake Matthews, and neither will Jimbo Fisher of all people.

I’ve said it on the SEC rant and people take it as trolling, but I’m serious when I say that they can’t succeed systemically.

Their weird culture and fanbase is offputting enough to prevent them from retaining enough depth and talent year-in and year-out to be a contender. See guys like Kyler Murray, Kenny Hill, Kyle Allen, etc. They’ve had a TON of studs leave and transfer out. I’ll stand by that forever and I’ve been saying it since they joined the SEC.

They’re too weird collectively to be great. It is what it is

I have a feeling they get a big win this year. Jimbo has them going in the right direction.

Schedule is too tough to contend for anything.
