He deserves praise for publishing it, one because it’s interesting and pertinent, but more importantly, because the data made him uncomfortable.
The more diverse a community, the less trusting it is.
People “bunker down” his words. So you see less community involvement, and people are much less invested in each other. Individuals have fewer friends and are generally less happy. These communities aren’t as healthy as their more homogeneous peers.

I disagree with this.
It's both a strength and a weakness. You could make a pretty strong argument that it's a net weakness. It's definitely not nothing.
