I just played 3 hours in NMS VR and had to pull myself out.

I know this game had a rocky start, but hello games made it right.

IT's AMAZING in VR, it's the best VR game I've played to date

Any endgame content yet? I don’t have VR so that is what is holding me back although I already purchased the game.

Hold your horses there partna. It’s definitely beautiful but I find the controls are worse due to the move not having a thumb stick. Also it’s hard to use the jet pack and move in very being that the jet pack button is right above the turning buttons

It's the sense of scale, multiplayer, and massive open world (universe) in VR that makes it special.

This it's a first for VR and it's unreal, the moves are not perfect but is an amazing feat.

I just had to pull myself out and go to bed.

Also to answer the post above, yes this is also a huge noon VR as well

I need to check this out. Flying in space has to be pretty wild.

It's fun on the Index, they still have some bugs to work out though.

I really need to regain my VR legs. I quit real fast with Boderlands VR because it made me ill.

I really need to push through the opening illness because I like a good sandbox survival game which it sounds like they have fixed No Man's to be fun now.

They fixed the base game a good while back but VR sounds incredible.

I would put it in about the Fallout 4 VR port range for how good it is for VR. Flying still blows arse and the controls are definitely made for Vive users. Didn't take advantage of the thumbsticks on the index controllers, they also bind your movement direction to your controller instead of your head without giving an option to change it. I hate that shite, it's how you know the port was done with the limitations of PSVR in mind.

Multiple PSVR games have head centered movement, that has nothing to do with it being PSVR centric

It's very limited on PSVR, it's tracking is not good. We need roomscale, not more seated play nonsense.

Hell you can see it in some of the bush sprites when you look sideways at them and they are flat.

Most people dont have a ton of space to give up to play VR Games. I think the VR treadmills are interesting because they create roomscale without all the space. Or it seems like they would

They've had 3 (!) patches since the release on wed, it's much better now, and I think it'll improve much like Skyrim VR did, it's an entirely better game now.

It's obviously not perfect bc
A) PSVR is last gen at this point, it's good but its super limited and
B) NMS VR just came out, give it a while for patches to fix some stuff.

I played it last night for a bit and didn't have any tracking issues. Also, they've done a fantastic job converting the interface and menus to VR, especially compared to Borderlands 2 VR, which immediately disappointed me in its implementation.

Maybe this is what you need out of VR, but not me. Some of the most memorable VR experiences of the past couple of years have been "seated nonsense," such as Moss, Astrobot, and Ghost Giant. I don't even know that I want room scale for this game. What, am I going to go find my chair in the real world every time I get back into my ship or other vehicle? Room scale has its place, but it's not the right fit for every game. I'm not sure it's the right fit for this one given the near infinite play space being constantly thrown at you.

Anyway, I was pretty blown away by NMS last night, though the textures, particularly in my ship, were far blurrier than they should be on a PSVR Pro. I have to assume a pro patch is coming to at least fix that because the screens in my ship are nigh unreadable without really focusing on them. The sense of scale is amazing, though, especially when you're standing outside your ship or a giant creature is walking past you.

PSVR is very limited in tracking. Just the nature of the hardware.

I disagree. I have the playspace and money devoted to a much higher experience in VR. I don't want PSVR levels of experience. I want the option to use roomscaling when it would take very little effort to have put it in the game in the first place.

They have decreased the resolution on every version. Its far lower than it should be on Index and Vive Pro.
