The roads in California are worse than Louisiana.

Ive spent the last two weeks traveling the beautiful state of California. I've seen some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. I understand why people want to live here.
The roads suck. The roads suck in SoCal. The roads suck in NoCal. The roads suck in the Valley.
Get it together Cali. What the frick is that gas tax going towards?

You are wrong. Louisiana interstates are definitely superior in pavement quality and age.

The Bay area has more litter than all of Louisiana roads combined. and Louisiana doesn't have the blue tarp mansions under every overpass

Cali roads have tons of humps in high speeds areas also, which is terrible for the suspension.

Impossible. IMO, the overall best roads in America are in California. They typically are well marked, both in signage and painting. (I think Alabama has some law that a road must be 50 years old before it can be repainted). The roads themselves are typically free of potholes and many roads have nice emergency lanes, even on two lane roads through the countryside.
I'm not surprised, since their taxes are ridiculous.

This was certainly true over 20 years ago. I was in northern cali in May. I was not impressed compared to La. The bridges are top notch, but not the roads.
