Can anyone recommend someone in the NOLA area that can modify a rod for me? I have a certain rod that I love, but the handle is entirely too long. I want them to take off about 1.5” and add a little weight to balance it.

Maybe cut to desired length and affix this to end needing new cap?

try swampland tackle in houma. He's supposed to be opening up a storefront soon. He was working out of his shop at his house. Hes done a great job on repairs for me and builds some killer custom rods.

I'm not a rod building guy but I cut off 2" of rod yesterday and then recapped the end. Use a hacksaw with a new blade.

Thought about doing something similar with my Falcon Spinning rod since I fish out of a kayak.
