Another car buying thread - 2019 Mazda CX-9

So looking to buy in the very near future. Plan was to do my due diligence on price, find out an approximate invoice price and negotiate with that in mind.
MSRP for the model/trim we want is about 39k. My research has led me to see that Invoice for that trim is about 34k or so.
Ok step 1 done.
Go on a few local dealer websites to see what they have on offer. First 3 I check has ones in the spec I want for 34,0xx, 33,200 and 33,500. Those prices are also BEFORE the mazda manufacturer offer of an additional 500 off if you finance through them (.9% APR)
Question is, should I even waste gobs of time negotiating down much more than that? I'd hate to go back and forth for a week+ with multiple dealers just to save a couple hundred bucks (or less). My time is worth more than that.
Anyone ever been in a similar situation? How did you handle it?

My friend is internet manager at team mazda. They price online aggressive, as most dealerships do to get people in the door. Usually there is little, if any, room to move, they pretty much take the negotiating out to get you to dealership. 99.9% of dealerships make $ on service contracts, lender kick backs, and other ‘finance’ options (on sales side of dealership). So they hope you just go in and let them ‘mow you down’ in the business office.

Just play those dealers against each other via text or email or SHORT and to-the-point phone calls - it shouldn’t take more than 48 hrs, and 15 minutes of your actual time. Pick the deal you want. I just bought the wife a Hyundai Tucson Night Edition. Stickered under $32K and I got $5,800 off sticker. The local dealers outright told me “if they can give it to you for that price, buy it”. I did. $1,400 cheaper than the 2 locals, who were within $50-60 of each other. Drove 160 miles to Pensacola for it, and even had one almost $1K cheaper but it was 500 miles further drive. The whole deal took just a couple days, involving 5 or 6 dealers in several states. I’ve bought 6 new cars online and out of state in the past 6 years. If it takes too much time, you’re giving them too much slack.

As a small update, one of the dealers I've talked to has come up with an absurdly low price INCLUDING the destination fee. I had to ask because I just assumed they were intentionally leaving it out to deflate the true price as it was already a low price. The price they quoted me, if it does, in fact, include the destination fee would put the vehicle price at like ~32k, which again, according to my research is nearly 2 grand below invoice.
This is my first time ever buying a brand new car from a dealer, so I'm just baffled that it has gone this smoothly thus far and the price they quoted me is well below my expectation. Am I right to feel like I'm being set up? I specifically asked for the total and complete out the door price. I just have a sneaking suspicion that this is just too good to be true.
The other 2 dealers that I've been communicating with are not even close to this dealer for the same exact spec car.

Bought a 2019 CX-9 last November from Paretti Mazda in Metairie, Touring trim w/ premium package. I did the whole call or email a bunch of dealerships and play them against each other thing, no real success. Basically contacted every dealer on the gulf coast between Houston and Pensacola. There was, for the most part, zero wiggle from the listed internet price.
Paretti was slightly higher than a couple of other guys, but they gave me a good price for the trade-in so I bought from them. No deal was worth me driving out of state for.
Love the car, test drove the Mazda, Highlander, Pilot, Volvo, and Atlas. It's a little smaller than the others, but it drives great. 8k miles, no regrets.
