The Bose is Cinemate series ii, optic only. HDMI arc is not an option.

Not looking to spend a ton of money either.

Is he Roku IR controlled?

Cinemate didn’t come with a universal remote ? I remember those being fairly nice.

I edited the op. It's a Cinemate series ii. Very simple remote.

I have a logitech harmony 650 (cheap one) that I use for all my stuff. controls all the tv's, sterio, roku, amazon tv, etc etc. It has a little bit of lag when doing a full power on and screws up the HDMI settings sometimes (turning on my computer and it stays on HDMI 1 (the tv) vs switching to 2) but that's resolved by hitting the help button. It's been pretty good...but that version is pretty old and only works if it can see the device.

I would think the roku ultra is capable of controlling everything.

My soundbar takes volume control from my TV via the fiber optic connection. So with my Roku Ultra remote being set to control TV on/off and TV volume, the Roku Ultra remote covers everything I need.

Now the question probably becomes what is the setting in the TV that allows it to control volume over the fiber optic connection...I don't know. My LG just worked like that when I took it out of the box.

EDIT: My setup info
- LG TV
- Roku Ultra with remote programmed to control TV via IR
- Vizio 2.1 soundbar connected via fiber

It's possible I'm doing something wrong, but I can't figure it out. I'll play with TV settings

My understanding was it had to be done through HDMI arc

I had the little Bose remote bought the bigger Bose universal and use it for tv and stereo

I don't have third item to control. It looks like it would control though.

I had the logistics programmable but it would get fubar.

Also why is Arc not an option I have mine with Arc and is so easy
