Sometimes best to not speak if you don't know what's being discussed.

sometimes you should articulate your rant better. I'm confused as well.

Send the kid with some uncrustables and lunchables

$6 a day? Probably includes a snack in the am or pm. Is this a school or a daycare?

Well I guess you'd have an empty thread then because noone knows what the hell you're talking about.

Most include food, pretty easy for them to get on a government food plan. What kind of school? That is expensive fwiw, very.

Depends, what's the rest of the tuition?

toured 8-10 last week for our kids and the ond school that had food as a separate line item had 25/week. Didn't seem ridiculous

The $30 is for one meal a day. Lunch during PreK hours.

They said you can waive the $30 if you have WIC card or are on disability.

Mongo, you chimed into my empty thread five minutes after I posted. Isn't that premature to declare a thread doa?

so zero tuition and only $30 a week basically.

I could only dream of paying such a paltry sum.

You are getting full day child care for $123 a week and you are bitching about it?

Wait a second. You’re complaining about $30/week for a tuition-free PreK program?

I wrote a near $7,000 check for mine in May

And that doesn’t include food, after care, uniforms, and other random “fees” over the year.

I have been paying $185/w up til now. Now Im getting "free" prek but it's still $120 all in.

I understand the $93/w before/after care but $30 a week for prek lunch is bullshite.

Does a high school lunch cost $6 a day?

So you're bitching about paying $60 a month less?

The shite little kids eat like the yogurts and snacks are expensive. That's $6/day for what I'm guessing is at least one meal and one snack. That's really not that bad.
