I mean 340 is high, but shouldn't hinder him too much. It's always more tough for these bigger guys to keep the weight off during the season though. Almost all of them put some weight back on from the start of the season through the finish.
Shelvin will need to maintain that weight to be a factor all season IMO.
ETA: If he gets up around 350-355 lbs. he won't be able to play the snaps LSU needs him to. It's what kept him from doing it last year.
