My own anecdata (from Htown) suggests the parents have the hardest time and don't really learn the language or adopt "American Culture", but their kids do. I've noticed that the second gen after the kids may not even speak spanish.

For real, in Cary NC, Morrisville south west of Raleigh, there is a huge number of people from India here.
They dress like they are in india...
To your point it's the older generation of India... younger professional type not as much.
I get calls all the time from people from India wanting to do an addition on the back of their house... So the parents can move in.
I have nothing against these people other than they simply don't want to pay for anything...
I can now see myself moving in 10 years for sure....
