Entergy Question: What is a prompt payment deposit refund?

Had a -$36 energy bill this month and of course assumed this was some mistake. I signed up for my utilities with them exactly 24 months ago. I have a $150 credit on my bill for a prompt payment deposit refund. Does entergy only hold your deposit for 2 years?
ETA: This is Entergy New Orleans
ETA2: They even gave me back interest on the deposit it looks like. Bizarre. My electricity still works so I don't think they mistakenly canceled my account.
ETA3: Looked more closely at some of the fine print. It says "Do not pay this bill, thank you for the prompt way you pay your bill every month". My god, what kind of customer service promotion is this from a Louisiana utility company? Where am I, Texas?

Kinda funny...80 year old Mom just moved back to La. and set up with Entergy, no deposit required.
Think about that for a second...young people starting fresh in adult life require deposit, old folks that can drop dead on a bill any second, no deposit required.

When you pay your bills on time after 2 years they refund your deposit and you get to not pay your bill til the amount owed gets positive again. Happened to me a couple of months ago and I was pleasantly shocked!

Lots of bad credit going on in this thread. I was told by Entergy that I didn’t need to put down a deposit since my credit was over a certain number.

It’s called having good credit

I probably had very minimal credit when I signed up 2 years ago. I had just opened all of my cards, car loan, and hadn't started to pay off my student loans.
