Looking for the best pellet grill under $1k and I think I’ve narrowed my search down to the Grilla Silverbac Alpha or the Rec Tec Stampede. Which one would you go with? Any others I should be looking at?

Will mainly be used for low & slow butts, ribs, brisket, etc.

Also, any suggestions on the best site to sell a Weber gasser & WSM? Would like to avoid the crazies I’ll probably get from Craigslist.

If the WSM is an 18.5 I would be interested in taking it off your hands depending on price and condition.

No complaint about my Green Mountain and I love the pizza oven attachment.

Bought a Rec Tec Stampede about 3 months back and have no regrets. Very impressed.

Saskwatch, yes it is an 18.5 but I’m trying to sell em both as a package deal first. Will keep you in mind if I’m unsuccessful.

Thanks guys, will look into the GM’s too.

Have you looked at the Smoke Daddy Pellet Pro's? High quality build and design, and have the best pid controller on the market (temp swings of less than 2*).

If that is the level you are at, I would go with the Rec Tec.

I have heard good things about the GM and I can dig that Pizza attachment. It also gets into the 800-900 degree range. I personally would look at this one were I buying again for the money.

Just picked up a Grilla Grills Chimp (stupid name) this weekend. I have not fired it up yet, but it is very solid and the service at their shop was excellent. I’ m looking forward to cooking on it.

WTF is a pizza attachment?

Why would you not just throw it in at the proper temp?

I set mine at º475 throw in the pizza on a stone and cook it, what attachment is required?

I have the GMG. Can't go wrong with rectec either. Pizza oven for GMG attached right to the firebox. It has a stone in it that can get to around 900 degrees. I don't have it but people love it.

How hot does your stone get? The attachment allows it to get up to ~900 degrees or something.
