I want to make some shrimp tacos tomorrow night with some kind of sauce. Anyone have a good pretty healthy sauce to put on the tacos? Also, how do you season your shrimp?
Thanks.

I've tried a chili lime seasoning but didn't like it as much as my usual, which is Tony's. (To all the Tony's haters, I don't care.)

I made an avocado crema a couple of times and it was excellent! Just avocado, sour cream, cilantro, lime juice and salt. Usually I just go with pico, though.

I usually do light sour cream, cilantro, lime, and cumin. Pulsed in the food processor.

Some people do Greek yogurt instead of light sour cream but the taste is too strong for me.

If you’re trying to keep it healthy, mission has these ultra thin corn tortillas that are 110cal for 3. Last time I made shrimp tacos, I got it down to 287 total for three of them.

if you want a short cut, head over to your grocery store and look at the chop house salads, find the blend that appeals most to you and combine it with your shrimp tacos, I prefer something with a chipotledressing or anything sweet and i like to season my shrimp with ole bay.

Thanks for the tip on the Mission ultra thin corn tortillas! Hopefully I can find them.

I like a shredded cabbage slaw (Salvadoran style curtido) on shrimp tacos: cabbage, lots of shredded carrots, chile, garlic, salt, oil, apple cider vinegar. Tastes better if you let it sit for a few days.

Sounds good. I sometimes go asian and make a ginger and lime mayo aioli and add fresh mint, basil and cilantro to the tacos. I always grill or bake the shrimp after marinating them in lime juice and salt.

Made some tonight also. I used the cilantro salad dressing from Trader Joes. It's crazy good and not too high in calories.
