Anyone purchase an extended warranty from Ford Flood ESP

I know people say extended warranties are a ripoff, but my truck is almost out of factory warranty and thinking about getting one. The thing that worries me is all of the electronics built into the truck. I have already had to replace the computer/GPS unit under warranty. Anyone buy one of these and what package did you get? Any problems getting a dealership to honor it? Thanks.

I did buy one, but fortunately I’ve never had to use it. I bought the 7/120. I’m at 80,000 now.

IIRC, Flood Ford Dealership just sells the Ford OEM warranty
at better price than other Ford dealers. GM has a few dealers that do the same thing.
You should be fine.
I would never buy a third party warranty. Maybe they're better now, but they used to suck.

Dealership warranties are essentially glorified insurance policies that are not only extremely expensive, but are hard to collect upon when needed.

Not yet, but I am planning on before my warranty runs out.

I've never had that experience with OEM warranties.
I've only purchased them on the two 6.7 Ford diesel trucks I've owned and they've paid for themselves both times.
I didn't buy it on the Corvettes, Jaguars, or BMWs as the OEM warranty w/o mileage extension was easily going to cover our use.

does it also include flood insurance, it seems to be something you need living in Nawlins and BR

I’m going to before my warranty runs out. Will use Flood Ford.

When I bought my F250 I priced a 5yr 120K warranty from Flood. Dealership matched the Flood price. Haven’t had to use it yet. It’s kinda like having a gun. Better to have it and not need it than need and not have.

Pretty good analogy.
FWIW, I have found it helps resale. Nice to sell a friend a truck that has 70K on the odometer and he still gets 18 months of warranty.

I bought one for one of my cars that was a first year design and new motor and transmission.
I used the extended warranty twice. I don’t believe it added up to the cost.
Bought it on the car following and never had to use it. Lost that money.
