1st of all, I 100% support this, think it's awesome, and anybody whining about it can STTDB...

But there's a few things I'm not grasping, like:
Where is it exactly? OK, it says "the new Football Ops Building", so - separate from the stadium? Right there by it? So, when the players come down the hill for game-day, they'll go to a different building instead of into the stadium, through the old Jeff Boss locker-room door?

Then, how do they get to the tunnel for entering the field? Is there an underground connection to the stadium?
(a re-purposed one of the legendary "steam-tunnels", haha?) How exactly to they get to and from the locker-room and the stadium? Or will they use the old in-stadium locker-rooms for game-days, and the new facility for practices?

And finally- the photos and videos look great, seems almost like sci-fi, pods on a space-ship, but - where are the damn actual lockers? Some different room location than the "sleep-pods"? When the guys come down the Hill dressed sharply in their sportscoats and natty attire, where exactly do they hang their clothes to dress out for the games? I get that there's storage space for their gym-bags and whatever, hidden under their beds, but can't picture where the coathangers will hang...Is there a separate area that's actual dressing rooms, where the equipment managers will pile their uniforms and football gear, etc? I can't picture all that football gear being piled on their sleep-pods...

Sorry if this info is available somewhere already, but I did dig around and couldn't find it... thanks for any answers, and down-voters- well, you know the initials for what you can do...

This is more of a lounge, if you will. They still have a locker room with actual lockers, etc.

It's on the football field, between the 35 and 35 yard line. They will lift it up, and it will provide a dome like feature for games. There is no more tunnel. As the building lifts, the players will just be standing there under it.

Tiger Ree told me it will be pretty bad arse.

Buckeye Joe is going to stay in the building and keep the jug machines safe.

The ops building has been separate from the stadium for well over a decade.

The locker room there is for daily use. The locker room in the stadium is only used on game days.

Yes. The dome will make it much louder for the opponents. The new renderings are truly spectacular.

And not just that. Now it literally will never rain in Tiger Stadium.

2:30 kick off in 110 degree heat, not a problem. The whole thing will have AC.

The football operations building is on the other side of Nicholson and across the train tracks from Tiger Stadium. This new locker room is a part of the building that is connected to the indoor practice facility. The new locker room is used before and after normal practices and is designed to provide players with a place to rest between practices, workouts, classes, etc. There is completely different game day locker room inside the stadium with traditional lockers.

Haha, so they called it a "locker-room" because that seems more justifiable than "opulent player's lounge area"? Nice...

The best part is the new library attached to the outer shell of the dome. #StudentsFirst

No they call it a locker room because it’s where the players keep all of their shite and change before/after practice and shower. Don’t know what else it would be called.

thanks, TigerSurge - I was guessing they'd still use stadium locker-rooms for games, but wasn't certain.... still don't know where they'll hang their clothes for practices?

You think they built this amazing facility, and then just left them no place to put their clothes?

Everyone referred to it as a lounge.

full disclosure: no, not really; I knew they'd use the stadium locker-room for game-days - but I enjoy the snarky answers to dumb questions...

(except for the part about "where do they hang their clothes?"; I still can't picture that from the pics of the "sleep-pods", haha)

There is a locker room and a lounge. The locker room is where the pods are. The seats pull up and above is where they store there stuff. The lounge is the TM Lounge. That's where there's pool tables and couches and things.

gym shorts, sweatpants, and t-shirts probably don't need to be hung up.

They redid the stadium locker room a couple years ago as well.
