How does Hawaii of all places end up ranking that high on the less than 1 fruit per day ranking?

I call BS on this list. I'm from Wisconsin and despite what they may think, a hot toddy or apple pie doesn't count as fruit

Maryland in the bottom half is surprising as it's one of four states that are 30%+ black. The blacks there are richer though which further supports the poverty-obesity correlation.

Fruit per day as a measure of health? I haven’t eaten fruit in months and am low double digit % body fat. That’s dumb.
Edit, my wife tells me almonds are a fruit rather than a nut. Nevermind then.
