When I was just a kid, close to my grandma's house, a young woman lost her life in a terrible three car accident. Every time I pass that intersection, walking or driving, I smell old gasoline. You smelled it before, gas that has been sitting in a container or an old junk car for a long time.

I once got hit with an umbrella from a guy that that had that gerry curl curl activator smell.

I refuse to be around gerry curl wearers if it is really cloudy

Diesel fuel or onions.

In the late 60's, was in backseat of parent's car asleep with brother and sister, around 3 a.m., as we were traveling from FL to granny's place north of Alex. Somewhere in MS along the coast, I remember waking up to us being stopped in the rain, lights everywhere. One 18-wheeler carrying diesel fuel had crossed the centerline and slammed squarely head-on into another 18-wheeler carrying a load of onions. All you could smell was both, intermingled. Now when I smell one or the other, I go straight back to that night.

Peaches - I worked at a peach orchard as a freshman in high school, the owner told us the first day to eat all we wanted to.

I ate about 100 in two days and have not touched one since, he knew how to break you.

Just the smell of a peach makes me want to puke.

My grandma is an old hippie and sometimes when I’d go to her house when I was little it smelled a little funny. She always said it was a “spaghetti” she was cooking. I went to my first concert at 10 and man did that concert smell like her spaghetti.

When I was a freshman in college, my new girlfriend at that time sprayed on of my textbooks with gorgio perfume. That scent is still there 33 years later. Brings me back to us making out in her dorm room.

2. I like eating asparagus but when I pee I am turned off by that smell of my urine. Yuck. Gotta keep mama happy eating her Christmas asparagus casserole.

To this day, the smell of whiskey and/or bourbon immediately takes me to Tiger Stadium.

Nearly every time i went to my girlfriend’s house during high school (1985-86) her mom would have deviled ham sandwiches to snack on and a pot of coffee brewing. My girlfriend also wore a perfume that I distinctly remember. Sometimes when i walk in Wal Mart to this day i smell her house. Weird, i know.
