The best fund-raiser I've seen is where the host/ sponsor sells length of rope prior to the round or the hole in play.
You could buy a foot of rope for $1, and use that length of rope to get your ball closer to the hole. Some teams were buying 50-100 ft for the team to use throughout the round. Every time a length is used it gets cut off

Man, $100 to move your ball 5.5 ft closer each hole would be a huge benefit.
Obviously, you wouldn't need it some holes, so you'd have a lot to work with.
We always do the deal where you can pay $10 per hole to hit off the red tee. Everyone in the group would pony up $20 so we'd get 8 holes of at least 1 person hitting off the red tees. But that is $80 for a lot less benefit than that rope.
