The song would not be nearly as good without the chant. The chant is what makes it, why do you think it literally pumps up our crowd and players? Not because of the tune, because of the chant.

actually, the song was quite popular and got crowd going back before the chant.

it’s like Pre-Game, Calling Baton Rouge, etc.
when it’s played the crowd gets into it.
with or without the chant.
