I’ve never felt unsafe, anywhere, on the basis of my political beliefs. And I don’t go out of the way to keep them to myself.

I’m a medical fellow and work at several different hospitals with thousands of employees between them. In this line of work I work with people from all over the globe, including plenty from both coasts. I regularly talk politics with all different kinds of Democrats and international “liberals” and have never felt threatened or particularly uncomfortable. Many are my friends.
Most everyday Americans are pretty normal
