because Netflix does not open the writer's room until they know if the show will be picked up. Network doesn't operate like that, just like the whole script writing process. (all scripts vs writing while shooting)

Mindhunters was renewed before it aired.
And even if they renewed it 28 days after it was released it’s taken 2 years to get season 2.
When we’re they supposed to renew it?
