True story. State police had to remove Kenner PD from I10 during Katrina evacuation because they were posted up writing seat belt tickets.

One morning in heavy traffic after a accident, my window was partly down. I said good morning to a officer and he pulled me over for a no seatbelt.
About a month later I get a called from a third party asking for donations to the police fund asking for donations- my reply “I already donated”.
I’m so glad I no longer have a house phone.
