PSA for the morons. Do not stop at flashing yellow lights. It's not a 4-way stop.

You only cause accidents by trying to be courteous. Do your job, and keep moving.

And if lights are out at an intersection, treat it as an all way stop sign.
With the storms we had in the dfw area in June, traffic was a bitch because of retards making it worse

Well if the lights are out, they wouldn’t be flashing yellow

If I stop, it gives me more time to text.

These are the same people that don’t understand how to accelerate up a bridge

The more that I think about it, I'm pretty sure they're not being courteous, they're just morons.

I'd rather they stop at a flashing yellow than blow through a flashing red, which I've seen plenty of times.

To even have to discuss this is stupid.

So If you see a green light you are not slowing down regardless if there are pedestrians, an accident, something in the road?
Green means go!!

I’m not going to lie. I don’t stop, but I do slow down a little but because I don’t trust the idiot drivers who would just as soon blow through flashing red lights on the other side.

I had people on this site argue that thet couldn't trust a blinking yellow light.
Same idiots can somehow trust a red or green light though.

You are doing it the correct way. Approach the intersection with caution.

I'm Red-Green color deficient and flashing yellows appear to be flashing reds to me. I try to guage traffic, but if I don't see oncoming or perpendicular traffic approaching it's very difficult to decide what to do

You realize the whole point of a stop light is the colors are really irrelevant, right?
The location of the lights are distinctive enough from far enough distance.
