“Drink the koolaid” threads always show up this time of the year. But who here thinks that LSU is just a “run of the mill” 9 or 10 win team.

Experts are picking bama and Clemson to win every year until saban retires, even then they will coast for a bit. Sell me the secret sauce you guys are putting on your burgers these days.

5th year senior at quarterback for a season that ends in the Superdome. I'd say that's worked out well in the past...

Since you can predict the future, what are the Powerball numbers for Saturday night?

I’ll admit that LSU isn’t in the same position as it was 10 years ago but it’s only going to take beating Bama 1 time to get this team back. A National Championship May not happen just by beating Bama but getting that monkey off the back and a few recruits here and there to come to the good guys and this team can get back to where it was. None of us like 9-3 but this team is much closer to an 11-1 type team than 7-5. They aren’t as far away as many want to believe.

The issue is that a huge contingency of lsu fans irrationally and implausibly think it is appropriate to hold Alabama/saban as the standard for success. You are ASKING for disappointment if you use that as your standard. Saban has built a dynasty that will probably never be replicated again. It is asinine to think any other coach can simply do what he has done.

It's unrealistic, pie-in-the-sky bullshite.

10 wins a year is the fair, right standard.

Not me. I'm old and have seen LSU go thru much more troublesome stretches than the recent past.

I suggest you go frick yourself.

Interesting. I can remember that being said in 2002 after a upset Sec championship then a sub par season the next year with higher expectations. I think we remember what happened the year after that.

How about you tell me why LSU football can never win 10 or 11 regular season games EVER again.

You could have said that last year before the Burrow transfer but I’m not sure how anyone could say that today while being honest with themself. Sure coach O isn’t a guru on x’s and o’s BUT he’s a great recruiter and motivator who is constantly changing and adjusting to succeed. I’m not saying it’s a recipe for a championship but I like that he is trying. The hunger is there.

Quite the opposite. Even if Orgeron fails to produce championships, we now have an athletic director who is unanimously recognized as a top 5 AD in America. I have more faith in our athletic programs being nationally relevant now than I have in a very very long time.

I’m very excited bc this season will be the turning point one or the other toward national relevance. Either Orgeron produces or he shows he’s not the right guy and we move closer to getting a championship coach.

Go away. Move to a different state with a team that suits your needs. Or a different country you miserable prick.

Also, please take "LSU Fan" off your Avatar. Cause you clearly aren't one. Fair weather fan.

Football will exist for hundreds of years until the world ends or until they cancel sports for some reason. I'm glad you can see so far into the future for a sport that was quite litterally just invented, relatively speaking
