In soccer you only get 3 subs. If you have any concern about someone's fitness you really can't start them and run the risk of having to blow an early sub on them. Rapinoe could be a second half sub.
Also despite Rapinoe's goals the last two games, she hasn't necessarily played great. There have been times when she has really slowed down the attack coming up the left side. She has had some good penalty kicks and a good wide open/clean up goal but that is not necessarily indicative of whether she has been good in the run of play. She hasn't been bad, but it would not be surprising if a fresh Presse may be of more value and bring more to the attack in this match.

Thank God. I can now wholeheartedly pull for the USA.
