Definitely not lower middle class. I just wouldn't spend that amount of money to have the same floor plan, general finishes and zero yard as the house 4 doors down that is identical. 13 homes? I'd be surprised if there were more than 3 designs and floor plans to choose from.

From a builders perspective, they save on buying materials and know down to the nail what each house needs which saves them money and can sell overpriced.

I understand that and I wouldnt really want to live in lots that small and I prefer the custom homes. And most complaining about "McMansions" I find either live in trailers or old houses from the 60's that are under 2k sf.

You couldn’t pay me to live in that area. It took me 30 minutes to get 2 miles last week. And that was at 4 pm
