Power outage - fridge quit - advice?

Power came back on after storms this afternoon and fridge acting funny. Lights are on, compressor will not come on, screen blank and blinking weird, water and ice disp not working. Viking dbl door, bottom freezer. Any advice appreciated. TIA.

The power surge probably blew out the compressor. Not sure what that might cost to fix on a Viking but it’s probably not cheap.

power surge may have blown the fuse on the circuit board or fried the circuit board

this is why you need not only a whole house surge protector but put a surge protector on any appliance that costs money

as mentioned, unplug it for 10-15 minutes then plug it back in and cross your fingers, small chance this works but may as well give it a shot

This fridge has been nothing but trouble, regret buying it. About to put it on the curb and get a GE.

I wonder if refrigerator compressors have start-run capacitors like ac compressors?

I'd say your computer is screwed. Hopefully just a fuse but idk how you'd go about finding if it has one. Maybe Google Viking fridge and fuse or fried computer. Some forum somewhere might be a conversation about it.

Came with the house when we bought it...Overt conspicuous rant that I hate POS Viking appliances.
