Like an OC who didn’t know how to use quick passes, rather than max protect, to alleviate OL issues?

Wrong. You implement long developing receiver routes and go into max protect.

We’re supposed to give out attayboys for (maybe) making a good hire to fix 2 previous bad hires?

This really crushes the narrative Bcoleman and others pushed arguing against many of us saying the offense needed to change scheme, open up to be more aggressive. Brady must be a fn idiot

I'm glad Brady was able to bring this cutting edge concept to the attention of O and E.
Lets wait and see if it is used, and if it is used, is it effective.
Then we will know for certain if firing Miles was worth the buy out.
O recognized a problem, he believes he has corrected the problem. That's a positive.

guarantee max protection with a slow developing play action pass ruined more than one marriage last year
Using it as a deceptive weapon is 1 thing, being predictable with it however just makes it super easy to defend when you can double cover 2 receivers. We did the latter in response to struggling to protect the QB.

giving les credit where it is due, he only allowed 4 players to touch the ball.

That's great and all except Joe Brady isn't the head coach. We saw Canada's offense get handcuffed after 3 games.
While this is encouraging, talk is cheap. Let's see it on the field in games that matter.
Season can't get here soon enough
New AD in town, baw. CEO aint gonna get away with his same ol shite this year. Its produce or go away time.

It might also help if our WRs make some catches this season. Last year was as bad as I can remember outside of maybe 2014 and Dwayne Bowe before his eye surgery

"...allow fewer sacks by using five man protections and getting all five eligible receivers involved in the route than by going max protect."

Nobody was happy with LSU'S blocking schemes. If your tackles can't pass block it doesn't matter what scheme you attempt to use.

Drop rate actually turned out to be pretty average in the SEC.

Yeah, no one thought of that before.

LSU used a good bit of max protection looks and only two wide receivers out in patterns on Saturday against the Lions. Orgeron said opening it up to get the quick passing game going is also an option, but it'll allow Auburn's defensive line an easier route to quarterback Joe Burrow, who also needs to improve.
"That's an option, to go empty and go 4-wides, throw the quicks. Two of the times that we had protection, we had a chip on and Badara had help, but Joe held the ball too long. The receivers wasn't open so you bring up a good point and those are options," the coach said. "We can go empty, we can go 4-wides. It's less protection and we're taking a chance."

Maybe you should revisit Canada’s offense.
This third leading WR had 14 catches, forth had 11, the fifth had 3.

This will not work against fast defenses. Fla. tried this against Neb in a NC game in the 90's and got hammered. 5 can't block 6. And with one defender unblocked a fast player will get to the QB long before a receiver can get open. You've got to have very quick and fast receivers that can get open quick. And a QB who is willing to stand in the pocket and wait while knowing he is going to get busted. I've seen only 1 QB at LSU who would do this, and he got the living hell beat out of him by TAMU. All I can say is LSU better try this concept in practice against their own defense before using it against the likes of Auburn or Georgia or bama, maybe even Texass.

If they’ve been practicing it, who the hell do you think they’ve been practicing it against?
