Spurge weed is taking over my backyard.
Sprayed MSMA last week and it seems like the spurge doubled.
What’s the best herbicide for this stuff?

MSM Turf (methsulfuron methyl) or Celsius. MSM Turf is a cheaper product. Just sprayed some prostrate spurge with Celsius a couple hours ago.

I just put Weed Free Zone by Fertilome on mine today.
I hope it works.

Weed-Free-Zone is a good herbicide that will will control spurge. I use it often in the spring and fall on lawn weeds, but it can damage/kill lawn grass when used in the extreme heat of summer. Here is a direct quote from the Weed-Free-Zone label.

ferti•lome® Weed Free Zone Ready-To-Spray may injure certain turfgrass species. To reduce risk of Lawn injury, avoid spraying drought stressed Lawns or when temperatures are above 90°F.
MSM Turf and Celsius don’t have the 90 F temperature restriction.

Msma takes a little while to work for me. Not sure at which rate you are applying and I haven't dealt with that weed though.

MSMA is for grassy weeds not broadleaf like spurge. Try MSM Turf, like mentioned above or 2,4/d
