Have you checked the unemployment rates lately?

Lately? Almost every trucking job will be gone in 10-15 years. Who cares about lately? This is a certainty in the future.

No they won't. Even the creators state that there will still have to be a driver.

Link?

I hadn't noticed the infrastructure investments at a federal or state level, let alone a municipal level, that would allow anything remotely like this to happen.

There isn't a single electric charging station in my town of 60,000 people, but you think all trucking jobs will be filled by autonomous drivers in 10 years? No fricking way.

I'd say about 10-20% of trucking jobs will be gone in the next 15 years. Maybe 30%. The infrastructure isn't there for the most part, and the last mile situation isn't there for there to eliminate jobs completely.

I think it will also be an uber phenomenon as well where if the cost of trucking goes so low, it'll boom by the amount of last mile jobs to offset the lower cost. I also think what you'll see is the AI in shipping shift to investment in rail and even trying to lease dedicated lanes from the government, and think about the timescale on getting roads built.

That being said, Andrew Yang is addressing the right problems and asking the right questions, when no one else in the Democratic Party even cares. They are too busy trying to obstruct a wall to take care of their own citizens. Automation and mass displacement of jobs has such a profound cascading effect we should be constantly worried about it. It already damaged the Midwest and it will damage the rest of the country in a variety of ways if we let it.

That’s the dumbest fricking shite posted here in a long time. It won’t happen on a huge scale in my lifetime and I’m only 32 and plan on living a while.

You double-down on stupid shite you say too frequently. Your crystal ball is as broken as AOC's.
