ok, so what differentiates you from the other people that were in rehab with you that went back to robbing to fund their drug habit?
I'm sober? Do you not understand that everyone with a alcohol/drug addiction doesn't rob people?

This statement is so dumb and so contradictory I can't think of a smartass reply.

ok but why are you sober and the millions of others that go into rehabs then continue using aren't?

Because it's an insanely difficult thing to beat. It's the same reason I will always consider myself in recovery because I can frick it up in a matter of minutes. You clearly don't know anyone with substance issues and I hope you never do FWIW

Druggies ruin everything. Even this thread.
Hardly any discussion of the OP.

you're right, I've only lived in a family that all have issues, myself included. One of which who has been in and out of the system for the past 17 years, who dropped out of college for meth and has two children by two different dads. I have had a front row seat to her life of "addiction" and it is only until very recently that I have finally come to the revelation that she is just a POS and is the most selfish person I have ever met. She will use anyone to attempt to benefit herself. She will be going to prison soon and it is exactly where she should be.
So because one addict you know is a POS they should all be left to die despite a quick and easy way to save their life on the spot being available?

I think he is saying that the disease part of the equation is the effect that it has on each individual.
We are all different, and the effect a drug has on us is different. One person can try it and not be an addict, while another can take it and the wiring of his brain causing him to be addicted to the substance.

Talcum and Gravy must be very concerned.

I never said we should let them all die, that was someone else. But I also am sick of using tons of resources to help people with victim mentalities who don't want help and just want to freeload.
Legalize all drugs and let the people who want to drown in that pathetic lives do it, but don't keep wasting time dragging them along when they don't want to help.

I wish you the best but clearly this discussion is a little too close to the chest with you and having a normal conversation is out the window.

ok, but humans have reason. So, this person who becomes so addicted to the substance can't see that taking a hardcore drug every day is a bad idea?

Too many times first responders have to convince people they need assistance due to bullshite liability issues.
The same SJWs that scream "its my body, its my right" would say that first responders should be held liable if they dont force a person to get medical treatment that will save their life. Like in this instance. They got the guy alert and talking. He is an adult and if he doesnt want further treatments then frick it. Wish him good luck and send him on his way. Of course when he later dies the ACLU and everyone else will jump up and down like a Puerto Rican short stop screaming about how they didnt force him to do whats best for him.

No, because you are letting your dead beat meth addict sister dictate your side of the discussion when it comes to addiction which is clearly influencing your view.

I genuinely believe all first responders should stop using Narcan and let the druggies off themselves
Stupid thing to say.
Should we also let babies fend for themselves when they get sick? What about old people? While we're at it, let's kill teenagers who get caught stealing milk too.

With Houston wounded and the shooting over, officers were able to take him into custody, where he later died at a local hospital.
Did he die from a gunshot or did the narcan wear off and he died from that?
